MONTREAL -- Aethera NetworksTM, a globally focused company delivering 4th Generation (4G) solutions in the multi-service access and metro networking markets, announced today that the AEX-200TM, a key component of its recently launched AEGIS-VTM platform, has successfully completed Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 9 and 14 certification. MEF certification programs are designed to accelerate the deployment of Carrier Ethernet services worldwide by offering assurance to service providers that certified vendor equipment conforms to stringent Carrier Ethernet interoperability requirements.

MEF sanctioned testing was performed by Iometrix, confirming the AEX-200s conformance with MEF 9: Abstract Test Suite for Ethernet Services at the UNI, and MEF 14: Abstract Test Suite for Traffic Management specifications associated with Carrier Ethernet services involving 10/100 and wirespeed GbE rates.
